Calpol by Bizarre Silk
(Ross Devlin, Arunav Chakravarty, Thomas Richens, and Yujin Kashino)
We play music I sometimes call "Dad" rock, self-consciously melodic and influenced by the much-mythologized gods and goddesses of guitar music, but at the same time unafraid to challenge audience expectations. We just like to experiment with sound and the improvisational tendencies a real, living audience tends to inspire. And have really loud fun.
10:00 - 11:00 PM
11:15 - 12:00 AM
(Katie Berglof, Gabriel Gahan, Dor Barak, and Andrew Ioannou)
We are a newly formed band, (one added member from the Buffalo Buffalo of 2014/2015 academic year). We are inspired and motivated to bring a lively and entertaining concert to the Arts Festival. We are hoping to get into ESAF in order to debut our new and original music. NB.
The Jampot by Jambouree
‘High energy jazz and funk improvisation. Fun to dance to. Fun to not dance to too’
We have been playing as a band for nearly 2 years and what motivates us is the sheer buzz from playing live and inspiring other people to be musical. In terms of musical inspirations for us, it’s a mix between trad jazz, old school funk, modern hip hop jazz crossovers and all types of world music and rhythms.
