JOIN THE FESTIVAL PLANNING TEAM
Welcome to the Edinburgh Student Arts Festival (ESAF) which reaches its third annual festival this February 2017 for which we are in hot pursuit of enthusiastic individuals to make it a success. As a social enterprise, we are entirely volunteer-run and can only flourish with the passion and enthusiasm of our volunteers.
We’re offering exciting opportunities to gain fascinating insights into the creative sector in order to help further your skills, experiences and career prospects. We have expanded as a social enterprise and are pleased to announce that Festival 2017 will be three weeks long, taking place from 9 February - 3 March 2017 to provide a more extensive exhibition and performing arts programme, as well as give the chance to both the creatives and the audiences to interact.
There are a range of roles available within our marketing and communications, visual and performing arts, as well as events teams, so there’s plenty to choose from to match your interests or expertise. We are looking for passionate, creative individuals who are able to manage their time and commit to ESAF within agreed work loads for each volunteer. We highly appreciate our volunteers and endeavour to ensure you benefit from the process by gaining experience and training.
The Festival Team will focus on the Festival planning, programming, running and evaluation throughout the period of October to May. Due to the range of roles, some may require more involvement during the planning, while others may be focused more specifically on the Festival weeks in February and March. Some of the more senior roles will have responsibilities working on both the Festival planning as well as helping out with our year-round programme, including events, commercial activity, communications and membership. We look forward to your applications and hearing about why you’re passionate about what you do!
