Join the EVENTS team

The Events Team is responsible for organising, running and coordinating events that take place around the festival programme including but not exclusive to the ESAF Launch Party, private view events for our visual arts exhibitions, reception desks for our performing arts events, the festival closing party, and support for our special programmes like the creative partner series, talks & workshops programme, and the annual ESAF stall market.

The events team is responsible for the design of these events down to every last detail including refreshments, decorations (including lighting), placement of signage, and supporting the placement of volunteers with the guidance of the volunteer coordinator for ESAF Festival events.

ASSISTANT EVENTs coordinator

Love organising events but never had experience organising multiple events within a broad festival programme? The assistant events coordinator is responsible for supporting the events coordinator with all festival related events. For larger events like the launch party, the assistant events coordinator will be responsible for running orders for the event, managing deliveries, liaising with suppliers including food and drink vendors, helping with concept design for events and with the decoration of events. The assistant events coordinator will also be responsible for placing and tasking volunteers for each event while making sure the venue is comfortable with arrangements.

The assistant events coordinator will act as the events coordinator’s eyes and ears assisting with stock orders, managing supplier deliveries and supporting the events coordinator with sticking to strict timelines for events.

The assistant events coordinator will work with the events coordinator to communicate to the marketing team and negotiate event content with relevant teams (visual, performing arts and other programmers) to make sure the event is authentic to the programme.


The Event Marketing Coordinator ensures the smooth promotion of all events, including gathering the content and deliverables for the programmed Festival workshops, creative partner series as well as the Festival Launch and other main events. This role works closely with the Marketing Team, especially the Communications Manager, Social Media Coordinator and Digital Marketing Coordinator to ensure all necessary information about ESAF year-round events and the Festival is provided to the audiences.
