WHY DID YOU JOIN THE ESAF TEAM?
I stumbled upon ESAF in one of those right-place-right-time instances that as a creative you hear about all time and think everyone is making up. When I met our festival director Briana last summer I was struck by her vision and drive. I went away and thought about her ideas and about the structure of the organisation as a social enterprise; and I knew that my way of working would fit within this. I was new to Edinburgh and thrilled to have found common creative ground.

DO YOU HAVE ANY HOBBIES, INTERESTS OR SECRET TALENTS?
I play netball every week in a team that does not have a competitive bone. We bring sweets for half time and graph our minimal sporting triumphs. On days off there is nothing better than a day trip: to wander around with a marmite sandwich in my bag, discovering new places and communities, listening and observing. I always have a book on the go.

FAVOURITE COLOUR:
Orange. Like the sun, like oranges.

ONE PLACE YOU’RE LONGING TO TRAVEL TO:
It was my new year's resolution to see more of Scotland. British holidays are the one.

TOP 3 FEARS:
The unpredictability of wasps and hamsters, not having a place to call home.

WHERE DO YOU FEEL YOU ARE YOUR MOST CREATIVE SELF?
Anywhere where I'm sharing, workshopping and oddly at my most creatively vulnerable. I draw energy from identifying where my skills and visions fit within a group, then those that are unique to me- and probably have the most power. Then you have to learn how to wield them.

WHEN YOU CHANGE THE WORLD, HOW ARE YOU GOING TO DO IT?
Preaching strength, vision and kindness. It's all about listening in my opinion. To listen and to problem solve.
